The Best DAM Gin cocktails

Damrak Gin is perfect for the best gin and tonic, but with its citrusy flavor it is also great for other gin cocktails. Like a Negroni, a Collins or a punch.

So, found some gin? Rescue it from its bottle and start sipping these Best DAM Gin cocktails.

NEGRONI

1 oz Damrak Gin
1 oz Galliano l’Aperitivo
1 oz sweet red vermouth

Preparation: pour the ingredients into a mixing glass filled with ice. Stir for about 15 to 20 seconds, so the drink is nice and cold. Pour and strain in a rocks glass filled with ice.

Garnish: perfume the glass by twisting an orange peel over the glass and then put it in the glass.

DAMRAK WINTER PUNCH

(6 serves)

6.75 oz Damrak Gin
17 oz oz red wine (Rioja)
6.75 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
2.75 ml Monin cinnamon syrup
herbs: oranges slices, cloves, star anise and cinnamon

Preparation: pour all ingredients into a pan and heat it up (do not boil). Add the spices and let them soak in the warm punch.

Garnish: (in each glass) an orange wheel pricked with cloves, cinnamon stick, star anise.

DAM ORANGE COLLINS

1 oz Damrak Gin
0.5 oz Bols Triple Sec or Cointreau
0.75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
0.25 oz sugar syrup (2:1)
top with soda

Preparation: shake all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice for about 10 seconds. Pour and strain into a highball glass filled with ice.

Garnish: an orange slice.

ORANGE & ELDERFLOWER SOUR

1 oz Damrak Gin
1 oz Bols Elderflower or St. Germain
1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 dashes of orange bitters
optional: 1 fresh egg white

Preparation: pour all ingredients into a shaker. Fill the shaker with ice and shake for about 10 seconds. Pour and strain into a rocks glass filled with ice and add 2 dashes of orange bitters.

Garnish: a thinly sliced orange peel.

AMSTERDAM GIN-GIN MULE

1.25 oz Damrak Gin
0.25 oz sugar syrup (2:1)
0.5 oz freshly squeezed lime juice
2 oz ginger beer
10 fresh mint leaves

Preparation: crush the mint leaves with lime juice and sugar syrup in the bottom of a shaker. Pour in the gin, add ice, and calmly shake for about 10 seconds. Pour and strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer.

Garnish: a lime wedge and mint.

DUTCH 75

1 oz Damrak Gin
0.5 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
0.25 oz sugar syrup (2:1)
top with Brut Champagne / Cava / Prosecco

Preparation: shake the gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Pour and strain into a chilled champagne flute. Top with champagne.

Garnish: a cocktail cherry on the bottom of the glass (it will go down by itself).

SCHIPHOL AIRPORT (Aviation)

1.25 oz Damrak Gin
0.5 oz Bols Maraschino
0.25 oz Bols Parfait Amour
0.75 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice

Preparation: fill a shaker with ice and pour all the ingredients into the shaker. Shake for about 10 seconds and strain into a chilled Martini Glass.
